Oh, the stars shine bright in the dismal sky
The warmth I used to feel from the searing sun
Now shines upon more deserving scum

As time continues to pass
A pondering thought begins to grow
Was there ever a place in the gardens of old
For a wilting dream amongst admired shrubs

To plant the seed in undesired vineyards
Wouldst thou flourish or simply die
Is it worth the venture?
In ignorant strife i bleed

Coping with the presence
Of everflowing acidic taste
Parasitic hands fill my bed
Digging in the soil once fertile

Now left with nothing
I denied the betrayal of your intrusion
For as long as the the wind still rustled the vacant leaves
The dance of deceitful charms might entertain my blind euphoria

As I stand and stare o'er the cliffs you built
Screaming for a sign
Naught but Astral dust in my presence
You were a ghost that should've never been

Wading through the waters
Flooded by the tides
Unknown to me
Shall it rise or falter in your mind

Abandoned in phantasmic witchery
A fallacy I'm led to believe
As the aeons continue to pass
The roaring tempest of enmity begins to swell

In agony, the decay of exasperated will
Cradling the intensity of narcissism
The wounds you've cut deep shall eternally bleed
As I curse to the stars of my unending desire

Of apathetic sleep

To reverse the calamity that bred
From shadowed hearts and frigid limbs
I'd give to thee upon thy request
Anything worthy of treasured fervor

In the wake of unrelenting abysmal gloom
The lavished clouds of hungry spirits
Demand more than a mortal can offer
Yet the irrational hopes of elated dreams

Shall tempt to feed the starving ghosts

Void of all things
Eager to greet the reaper
A blade of soul ceasing obliteration
Offers more bliss than journeys traveled in ephemeral time

The roots have withered
The stems drained of any color
What once stood tall as a giant in the gardens
Now wilted beneath the stars

The cosmic giants shall not weep for thee
For death was always imminent
The cold, merciless winds tear apart
The moldered foundation

Ashes of earthen sand
Now carried away in the eulogies of the forest gods
Lifeless, the flower of quarreling ambition
Lies at the base of diminished aspirations

The battle now lost

The realization of worthlessness
The futile attempts to seek out a legacy
It all ceases to be

Memories once fond in the minds of many
Now forgotten in unwritten tomes
The shores of celestial wishes
Never to be uttered by the dead

To be sacred in desired hearts
A fallible dream to never be realized

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
